He first appeared in [[Spirit's Rise]], and went on to appear in [[Wrath of the Maelstrom]] and [Edge of Twilight](Edge%20of%20Twilight.md). >[!info|clean center no-i no-t] >>[!recite|no-i]- Background >>Seino grew up in a cave colony of [Svirfneblin](Svirfneblin.md) Gnomes in [the Badlands](The%20Badlands.md), the land where his race originated. He does not know any other family members than his mom, which is rather rare since gnomes have lifespans that can reach up to 500 years or more. His Mother was the one person he was able to call Family. >> >>Seino's mother forbid him from leaving their home cave to keep him from The Badlands that claimed the rest of his warrior family. >> >He sat years over years overprotected by his mother in his little stone house with no friends and no fun, yearning to know what more there must be to living. As he got older, his curiosity got bigger. He started sneaking out of the house to talk to people about the bigger world. He listened to warriors about their great battles in the Badlands and he wanted to become one himself. His mother tried to forcefully tie him down and lock him up multiple times to keep him safe. >> >Seino thought all he had to do was to show her that she did not need to fear. He can stand up for himself! He grabbed his father's gear and snuck out of the house and for the first time in his 80 years of “living.” Finally, he saw the outside of his colony… and beheld the Badlands with his own eyes! He went out with a small amount of bread and his sword strongly held in his right hand. He dreamed about the warrior he wanted to become: Tall as a tree, strength that could move mountains, an Axe that would cut even the hardest of steels. But the further he went the bigger the doubts became. >> >Was he ready for this? Would he be able to defeat the monsters he heard so many horrible things about? … Was his mother…right? When he came to his senses, it was already too late. The Badland's curse took its toll, and his way home was nowhere to be seen. There was no battle, no monsters, no storms…just a creeping hunger that got bigger and bigger with each step he took. Not even death in a battle was given to him, just one thought: “I’m sorry, mother.” >[!info|clean center no-i no-t] >>[!recite|no-i]- Awakened Arc >>When he woke up in another body on [Conflux](Conflux.md), Seino was not ready. His stomach felt like it was still growling for food, and his guilt for not following his mother’s advice filled his thoughts. When he realized what kind of body he received, he wasn’t even able to enjoy it. The doubts in his own capabilities now took over and his confidence now turned into cowardice. >> >>He now also had a group of strangers that he had to interact with. All these changes just made Seino a quiet, self-centered, and weak human being. After a while, he started to write about his days and the people he met. This gave him time to properly process what was happening around him and he was able to clear out his knotted thoughts. >[!info|clean center no-i no-t] >>[!recite|no-i]- Current Arc >>After the adventures in the dream, the party was now required to answer the [Folly](Folly.md) situation. Seino regained his confidence back and fully accepted his role to protect everyone in the party. He hopes that they are able to talk to Folly to calm the situation, but if it comes to combat, he will not hold back to protect his comrades. >> >>For now, the team is heading to [Band](Band.md) where Folly was last seen. Along the way, they have a few stops planned on [Rampart](Rampart.md), [Dragonstar](Dragonstar.md), [Erast](Erast.md), and maybe even [Storvex](Storvex.md). ## Trivia - His strong suit is close combat. With his Sword or Axe in hand he will stand his ground no matter the size or number of their enemies. Combat is always the last option. If it cannot be avoided, then he will be first to strike. - His favorite food is bread. - He is trying to find people that can teach him different fighting styles, since he never received training himself. - He still has his Journal, in which he made a point system of how scared he was of each of his teammates. - He sees Junior as his own son and wants to be his dad that Seino himself never had.
