This cloak has multiple functions. >> Choose a terrain when it is created, you have advantage on stealth, perception or survival checks in that terrain. If you have the [Primeval Awareness](Primeval%20Awareness.md) feature (Or the feat that improves it), then you gain these abilities in any terrain that you use the [Primeval Awareness](Primeval%20Awareness.md) feature in. >> The Black Cloak can be wielded as as a shield that functions as a [Buckler (C)](Buckler%20(C).md) for all game mechanics. This is only while the cloak is wielded in this way. (The Black Cloak does not require an item interaction to equip as a shield and does not require a free hand to wield.) >> Weapons with the [Dueling](Corvanis/Items/Armory/Definitions/Weapon%20Properties/Dueling.md) property wielded by a wearer of this item increase the attack bonus from that weapon by 2. >> The wielder may store up to 5 [Light](Corvanis/Items/Armory/Definitions/Weapon%20Properties/Light.md) weapons with the [Thrown](Corvanis/Items/Armory/Definitions/Weapon%20Properties/Thrown.md) property in their cloak. Whenever an enemy would trigger an attack from the wearer, you may throw a weapon from your Black Cloak, you may not target an enemy that you have attacked this turn. >- [Flourish](Flourish.md): You may select an enemy as a bonus action. You may make a stealth check against that enemy specifically, if you beat its perception, you are considered invisible to that enemy until the end of your turn. >- [Deadly Serious](Deadly%20Serious.md): You gain advantage on intimidation and insight checks while wearing your Black Cloak. In addition, your Black Cloak is always billowing as if there is wind. >### 7th Level >- [Perilous Purpose](Perilous%20Purpose.md): Whenever you would succeed on a saving throw against an effect controlled by an enemy, you heal a number of hit points equal to your character level. If [Grit](Grit.md) was spent to make the save, heal twice that amount. >### 8th Level >- [Wet Work Weapons](Wet%20Work%20Weapons.md): [Light](Corvanis/Items/Armory/Definitions/Weapon%20Properties/Light.md) weapons have their critical threshold increased by 1 when wielded by you. Attacks with [shortbows](Shortbow%20(C).md) and [longbows](Longbow%20(C).md) deal 2 additional bleed with arrows that deal impale damage. >### 9th Level >- [Mark for Death](Mark%20for%20Death.md): Once per combat, select a single enemy, you have advantage on attack rolls vs. that enemy as long as you have not been defeated or it has not critically hit you. If that target is also affected by your [Hunter's Instinct](Hunter's%20Instinct.md) (Or the feat that improves it) improve your critical threshold vs that enemy by 1. >### 10th Level >- [Haunted Hero](Haunted%20Hero.md): Whenever you would be killed, instead you are reduced to 0 hit points and you continue to fight for 1 round as your own ghost. This lasts 1 round. If the enemy that killed you is defeated, you are brought back to life with 1 hit point. If you possess [Grit](Grit.md), this ability lasts a number of rounds equal to your maximum Grit. This ability may only trigger once per long rest.
