# Smithing
Smithing a person needs a forge, and a [Smithing Kit](Smithing%20Kit.md) in order to make weapons and armor. Smithing pairs very well with the [Stonecutters Kit](Stonecutters%20Kit.md) which can craft gems which can be placed in [Weapons (C)](Weapons%20(C).md) and [Corvanis Armor](Corvanis%20Armor.md). Please note this is all not confirmed except for what we have seen in game, and is subject to change.
### Masterwork
Masterwork is a type of item that is immaculately crafted. Masterwork weapons and armors have multiple Tiers of Masterwork, from T1-T15. The tier determines how many properties can be added to the base item. The skill of the smith and the workshop bonus help determine the items crafted tier.
