The Prism is a great mystery that my master was trying to unveil. There are seven distinct powerful forces that appear in the forms of Colors. These Colors take on different forms. My master discovered there are those that can see these Colors, more so than the normal person, but can see within. They take on the form of Colored eyes radiating with the energy. Some of them cracking under the great weight of the knowledge. My master sought a method in which to artificially create such a synopsis. For the most part the experiments were... delayed, as was my apprenticeship. But, mistakes happen and are overcome. Setbacks are a normal part of any great venture. Although my master has been gone for some time I have been continuing his work investigating into the mysteries of the Prism and the shattered eye. He discovered something. Something I could not see, but whatever it was... he mentioned a labyrinth. His home I think. I have never been, but I think he found something there. It is his main laboratory I suppose? My master is quite enigmatic about such things. Since he has been gone, it has fallen to me to safeguard Project IRIS and see it to its fruition. Some progress has been made, but still I have been eluded due to poor materials. If I but had one of his blood I could make a breakthrough. But alas, those of his blood are quite diluted. His intention with this realm was ingenious. He would use the pitted factions, the ambitions that stir within their hearts, to call forth the Orange. This project specifically was meant to experiment to open the eyes. He needed something of a powerful soul. However, the souls upon Corvanis are quite weak and sifted. It was my master's plan that he would use the Color of the Orange to entice a refracted soul. Through a refracted soul my master discovered that an eye can shatter and hold better than this." *He gestures towards the corpse with an exploded head.* "He believes, he knows that through a refracted soul a shattered eye might hold. I believe this is the discovery that, well, took him to wherever he is now to perfect what he has discovered. However, in order for us to get to this point, the master discovered a method by which he could adhere these refracted souls. He did so through the use of his own blood. The master's blood is quite strong, potent, even contagious if used properly. It spread through the entire realm. Now, whenever one is born with a specific genealogical make up, my master's blood activates turning them into a sorcerer. Then, as they live their lives and are subjugated to the many various forms of prejudice. The ambition to live and the ambition of those to supplant them are gathered by the mark left upon their body, which is my master's mark. This then fuels the reserves of our energy so the experiments could continue. My master thought if he could somehow garner both his blood and a refracted soul into a single vessel that it could unlock the secret of the Prism and allow the Orange to flow through unfettered and unfiltered. Alas, we have not uncovered such a combination as of yet. Yet, time is on our side. Refracted souls can be detected and I have the means to do so, but I have not had the time to leave. In time, we will find one." ###### ### Project IRIS Research Notes - Recreate a phenomenon known as the Chosen Eye - The Chosen Eye is the part of the body most attuned to magic besides the heart and liver. - IRIS: Innovate. Record. Ingrate. Silence. - Try to reduce the Chosen Eye effect. ###### ### Version 5.0 Tyre was attempting to recreate the Chosen Eye of Ambition to refract it, reflect it, and shatter it. The final step of IRIS is to remove the knowledge of the process from the individual’s mind. 1. The use of Sorcerer’s blood to enact this ambition was to follow a theory on how some are chosen. 2. An alternate experiment to discover the secret of the Traveler’s Soul. 3. There are some places in Corvanis where the leylines are focused. 5 in total. Numerology of Corvanis being the best place to draw forth the Orange. There are references to certain strains being successful. These strains are certain bloodlines. They share designation numbers in the experimental process. Tyre’s notes to the Apprentice: “To continue to store ambition until it could be used in the coming fight.
