Dust with a capital D is the direct connectivity between the dream and the soul. It is most of the time formed by a silver tether but careful magics and potent sources can extract this essence, most of the time without harming the person and in a recoverable, renewable resource state or if used with a lack of morality, completely severing the connection and taking it all. This process falls into more the latter. The Silver Salt is the representation of the broken leylines and the energy within the regular people of their bloodlines including those with the sorcerer’s mark, being gutted of any latent magic they might have within them and their bodies being disintegrated in the process. The Silver Salt is then purified and then pumped back into the region. It denotes on the ledger that there is a regional facility connected to this facility across the continent. A short distance away from your current position. (Silver Stones) You’ll see that it seems to spew the Silver Salt into a place that you recognize from the maps that you’ve traveled as the Silver Coast. It seems that the intention according to this ledger of spewing this Silver Salt is to create the conductivity of mana without the reparation of the leyline. It seems that the experiments of these ledgers is to increase mana output from sacrificed individuals and indeed the selective breeding and allocation of the sorcerers mark in the hopes that the individualistic mana of each person is increased without increasing their connectivity to the leylines and the efficiency in which the leylines supplement that mana. You have no idea why the author of this ledger is attempting to do that nor what the true purpose of these experiments are but this does reveal without a shadow of a doubt that Silver Salt is made from sacrificed people. The ledger also appears to be experimenting with Silver Salt with certain infections one in this case being [Depthar](Depthar.md). There are 2 pools. One in which the infection is allowed to reach its end course and then used for Silver Salt and the other in which the infection is allowed to get to different varying points curing the individual of that and then turning them into Silver Salt to test potency levels. So the existence of the second varying pool in which the person is cured and then turned into Silver Salt, means that there is a cure here.
