# Church Collars Church collars are used by the [Church of Mytheria](Church%20of%20Mytheria.md) to limit the capabilities of magic-users, and differentiate between ordained members of the church and apostates. Those who are in good standing can wear a more subtle collar that may augment spellcasting. Those who are not in good standing are made to wear bulky shackle collars set to explode if the wearer's magic goes out of control. The Church Collar type used against [Espen Greyson](Espen%20Greyson.md) stymies magic, suppressing it, prevents the magic from being tracked and prevents shapeshifting.
