A [Mytherian](Mytheria.md) Knight in a [smiling mask](Smiling%20Knight.md) performs their last rites, and then leaves the condemned to their fate as the snow continues to fall...

>>A pair of traveling merchants stumble upon this execution site. They take down the crucified strangers and shelter them, offering the party temporary refuge at a nearby Hot Spring while the merchants continue their trading business. They would return in four days time to retrieve the party.

>>While the party waited at the Hot Springs, they came under attack from Snow Bandits. Despite not having any proper equipment or proper usage of their hands due to being recently nailed to the cross, the party manages to kill one Bandit and cause the other two to flee. However, their Tent and Rations were set ablaze during the raid and were lost.

>>Mazekeen makes do with cooking the remains of the slain bandit, with Simon observing the proceedings. Meanwhile, Silva, Balrak, Fane, and Elsie go foraging for food. >>Thus, with the second session upon us, the party themselves are now tasked with a brief recap of their previous adventures. Fane gives the Observers his take on the events, and then the adventure continues.

>>Now being reunited with the traveling merchants [[Jonathan]] and [[Johan]], they traverse across [The Ice Flows](The%20Ice%20Flows.md) and arrive at [[Shickletown]]. As soon as they arrive, the merchants directs the party towards the Town [[Elder Shane]], and then leaves them to their own devices.

The party must use resources or pay for each day spent inside a settlement, and each member has four 'time blocks' (roughly six hours per block) available to use for exploring the town, shopping, visiting NPCs, resting, and so on.

The party then briefly discusses their plan of action, and decide to investigate the chapel, rest, and then go forth to fight bandits.

>>Investigating the ruined chapel, they are immediately hit with a sense of unease. Elsie discovers a protection incantation on the inside of the walls, seemingly meant to protect the chapel from whatever was outside. As Fane enters, he immediately recognizes usage of [Blight](Corvanis/Spells/General%20Spells/4th%20Level/Blight.md), a darker form of Druidic magic. Investigating further, he finds a trail of exposure leading towards a nearby rocky plateau. Meanwhile, Mazekeen and Elsie discover a gold medallion with the [[Eye of Mytheria]], as well as an unfinished Incantation of Regret in the priest's quarters. As the party wraps up their search, Silva decides to pray to [[Mytheria]] with Elsie as a witness. Seemingly as a response, the desecrated church regains some of its Hallow properties and will cure those who rest within of any disease once a week.

>>Now deciding to inspect an abandoned abode, the party unceremoniously enters and begins their investigation without Silva. Balrak discovers some booze inside a coffin, Simon opens up the trapdoor to the cellar and find an [Anointed](Anointed.md) [Potion of Healing](Potion%20of%20Healing.md), and Elsie gets Balrak to force open a chest. Inside the chest are priestly vestments, old incense, and four arrows. Afterwards, the party decides to rest and set out to handle the bandit problem.

>>After proving victorious over the "Snowbodies," they claim the bandit's booty cache. Inside the chest, they find 4 Weeks of [Rations](Rations.md), some Curious Documents, a Large Spice Box, and about 130 Gold. Mazekeen loots one of the Short Bows and some Arrows from the slain. Simon takes a Heavy Shield. Balrak takes their heads. The rest of the equipment Mazekeen dumps into various bags to sell back in town, and Mazekeen also decides to pack up one of the Bandit Tents for later usage.

>>Elsie goes through the documents, discovering that they were mostly official correspondence between [[Mournhowl]] and [[The Pale City]]. One in particular though was addressed instead to the Brass Baron from the Pale City, refusing a request of troops and warning the Baron about any offensive action taken against a Church-affiliated entity also means declaring war on the Church itself.

Simon is indifferent, and Elsie remains silent.

Silva sells the Spice Box for 75 gold to the two merchants, [[Johan]] and [[Jonathan]], finding out that said box was originally sold to another who may have suffered a terrible fate at the hands of the "Snowbodies." Elsie retrieves the Priest Kit from [[Tose No Arrows]], and the duo learn that [Big Green Girtha](Big%20Green%20Girtha.md) is the only prostitute in town.

>>For more important matters, they change the topic of that to the [[Silver Mine]]. The duo learn that the local priest Bartholomew went mad, writing down the name of the Elder several times in his holy texts, and then disappeared into the mines. Shortly thereafter, [[Elder Shane]] closed the mines as it was deemed too dangerous. Oddly, Shane only recruits outsiders to handle the mine threat instead of the townspeople, making [Tose](Tose%20No%20Arrows.md) suspicious of the Elder. He offers an alternative to the party, to bring whatever they find back to himself instead of Elder Shane. Shortly afterwards, the rest of the party enter the tavern and Silva goes to join them, leaving Elsie alone to learn a little more about the priest.

>>Regrouping at their favorite table, a failure of the observation lens occurs and we catch a glimpse of the void. Silva and Mazekeen reach high tensions, prompting Silva to leave the table and head to the ruined chapel. The party then discuss several courses of action, but eventually settle on investigating the mines as Mazekeen and Fane want to know more about what truly occurred at the chapel, while Elsie wants to know what happened to the priest. Balrak just wants to get paid.

>>The party rests comfortably at the tavern overnight, but Silva decides to rest at the chapel instead. That night, Silva awakens to the sound of voices in the next room. He immediately enters stealth and witnesses two ghosts speaking to one another. One seems to be Bartholomew the priest, before he went mad, while the other seems to be reminiscent of [[Elder Shane]], but more as a warrior instead of a town elder. The two are having an argument about doing something related to the [[Silver Mine]], or the town will suffer. The "warrior" speaks of a third individual who has seemingly arrived at town, as the signs are now present. Then, the vision fades.

>>Silva immediately books it back to the tavern, awakens the party, and hastens the party to action. He tells the party of what he overheard. Mazekeen looks over the medallion she found more closely, finding "Shayne" inscribed upon it. After some more tense discussions about potentially leaving the town and heading west, they settle to remain on task and investigate the mine. If things get too out of hand, they will simply leave and head westward. They return to the tavern to rest up.

>>In the morning, the party fixes their equipment, with Elsie anointing the crossbow of Silva and the warhammer of Balrak. The party also gets addition gear and items from [Elrond Crackhammer](Elrond%20Crackhammer.md) and [[Tose No Arrows]].

>>Arriving at the mines, Mazekeen and Balrak light their torches. Balrak makes noise by attempting to move a minecart, accidentally launching it straight into rocks. One of the passages has claw marks, but the party opts for a different one as they continue delving deeper. Later, Balrak hears noises down the passage they were traversing. Investigating the source, they find a nest of sleeping [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) and immediately back off. Elsie finds it odd, as they are inside the cold mines located at the Ice Floes, but the party continues regardless. They find themselves back at the central area in front of the entrance, and bicker briefly amongst themselves before realizing the situation they are in.

>>Going further into the cave, Balrak finds a trapped chest and is [poisoned](Poisoned.md). Fane discovers it is a sleeping poison, and immediately gives Balrak a remedy to prevent a loud snoring Orc from waking up everything in the tunnels. Inside the chest itself, they find some gold ore.

>>Later, Simon discovers a tripwire before Balrak could step on it. Elsie tries to disarm the alarm system, but ends up triggering it, causing bells to clang throughout the entire mine. The party then tries to turn tail and run, hearing the [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) awaken. They are forced to go even deeper into the mine and manage to prevent themselves from triggering another alarm.

>>Overlooking the pit of crystals, the party begins to climb down to the first layer. Above the party, they hear the sounds of [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md). They even glimpse some of them from their hiding position, but then the [Troglodytes](Troglodyte.md) seem to recoil and then left.

>>- Elsie peeks her head above, seeing two [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) at the hallway.
>>
>>- Mazekeen finds tracks leading deeper. She feels exposure of magic, getting stronger the deeper it goes.
>>
>>- Balrak and Silva climb down further, but they notice the air get much more heavier. Balrak goes further, now almost feeling like he is underwater but not. Going even further, its starting to get difficult to even breathe. Balrak sees a crystal with strange things next to it. When Silva gets close, he sees the strange things clearly: being hands and feet sticking out of the bottom-most crystal. Silva immediately "nopes" out of there and returns to the main group, relaying what he saw. Meanwhile, Balrak goes to investigate personally, now feeling like he's drowning but not. He sees corpses fused with the crystal, and a vein of gold just below said crystal. In the center of the crystal, Balrak notices a certain sapphire, and begins to become lured in.

>>Meanwhile, Fane begins to descend down seeing Balrak closing in. Balrak slams his [Warhammer](Warhammer.md) into the crystal, making a small crack. Suddenly, the ground shifts and the crystal itself stands up. Battle begins...
>>**Round 1:**
>>- The [[Corpse Crystal]] punches Balrak, and punches him again.
>>
>>- As the party proves to be ineffective, Balrak leaves the pit and begins to climb out after reflecting on his actions.
>>
>>**Round 2:**
>>- The [[Corpse Crystal]] climbs out of the pit easily, looking at Simon who tried to insult it during the first round.
>>
>>- Simon mocks the crystal viciously once again, then starts running.
>>
>>- Silva fires off his crossbow, finding it bounce off the crystal itself.

>>- Balrak gets healed, and then starts rushing back to the [Corpse Crystal](Corpse%20Crystal.md) to give it a piece of its mind.

>>**Round 3:**
>>- Fane tries to use [Control Flames](Control%20Flames.md), it is reflected, but luckily misses him.

>>- Simon insults the [[Corpse Crystal]] again.
>>
>>- Mazekeen decides to finally transform and attack, but despite landing blows it is not enough to properly crack the crystalline structure.

>>- Balrak lands both of his Warhammer swings.

>>**Round 4:**
>>- Balrak is bonked again and goes down.
>>
>>- Silva takes one of the [Warhammers](Warhammer.md) from [Balrak's](Balrak%20Talrog.md) downed self, and equips his own shield.

>>- Mazekeen lands one impressive, but not that impressive, claw attack.

>>**Round 5:**
>>- Fane casts [[Faire Fire]] on the [[Corpse Crystal]].
>>
>>- The [[Corpse Crystal]] punches the [Witchwolf](Mazekeen%20Blight.md) twice.
>>
>>- Simon fires an arrow. Silva then heals Balrak with a [Potion of Healing](Potion%20of%20Healing.md).
>>
>>- Mazekeen chips away at the [[Corpse Crystal]]. Balrak slams his [Warhammers](Warhammer.md) into the [[Corpse Crystal]].

>>**Round 6:**
>>- Fane costs [Control Flames](Control%20Flames.md) and it connects.

>>- The [[Corpse Crystal]] then downs Mazekeen and Balrak.
>>
>>- Simon lands another accurate shot.

>>- Silva stabs it with his [Shortsword](Shortsword.md).

>>**Round 7:**
>>- Fane finishes off the [[Corpse Crystal]] with [Control Flames](Control%20Flames.md), and then immediately goes to stabilize his companions.

>>Fane enters the pit, finding the magical energy emanating from the [Corpse Crystal](Corpse%20Crystal.md)'s Sapphire Core. Silva slowly chips away at the crystal with Fane's assistance. Meanwhile, Elsie and Simon hear the sounds of [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) once more, and even see them at the top.

>>Silva successfully extracts the sapphire core. It has been inscribed with Druidic magicks, and the gem by itself puts out 5 Exposure. Specifically, this one comes from the Circle of Glass.
>>- **Circle of Glass:** Western Druidic Faction, Military and Gem Cutting
>>- **Circle of Stones:** Tends the Land and Druid Groves
>>- **Circle of Waves:** Druid Traders, Coasts and Water

>>- Fane touches the gem, and suddenly the [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) curiosity wanes and they begin to leave. Fane then uses his Healers Kit to get Mazekeen and Balrak up. The party then talks about the gem and the townspeople.

>>- Silva knows there were villagers fused with the Corpse Golem, but there was no sign of the clergyman.

>>While the party goes back to the main hub, the loot the 5 gold ore they found earlier. The [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) stay distant, watching the party but knowing of their presence. Then, the party begins to explore the rest of the cave.
>>- In one area, they find an old, advanced, conjuration magic circle. There are some bedrolls nearby.
>>
>>- Elsie finds some keys on a barrel, and manages to take the keys. Nearby, she also finds some spoiled food and drink. No one has been here for a while.
>>
>>- Out of curiosity, Mazekeen searches the refuse pile. There seems to be a bunch of clothes, and reflecting back on the encounter with the [Corpse Crystal](Corpse%20Crystal.md), the bodies within did not seem to have any clothes. They then turn their attention to finding the clothes of the clergyman, which they do find and take.

>>- The fissure just south of the circle has some silver present, but it is a tight squeeze to get. Simon gets down to the bottom of the crack easily. He gets 5 Silver Ores and about 50 silver coins, which he gives to Balrak.
>>
>>- The Magic Circle responds to exposure. It appears to be drawn with wax.
>>
>>The party takes a short rest while Fane studies the gem. Due to the effects of the gem, it seems the exposure from the party does not decay over time.

>> They then return to the Trog Room to check out the chest. As the [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) are now awakened, there are no longer any [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) present.

>>Near the end, people become the cargo, with scribblings of "It must be filled" repeating over and over.

>>- The broken statue is that of [[Mytheria]], specifically the forgiveness aspect.

>>- Silva opens the locked chest using the pearl key found from Elsie.

>>- Simon casts [Sleep](Sleep.md) on Silva, which is effective. Balrak then curb stomps Silva, and he immediately awakens. Silva uses his words to defend himself, and then apparently the little scuffle ends.

>>- Fane then heals Silva and has a private discussion with Silva regarding the book and answers. They have a heated little talk, but otherwise stay somewhat cordial.

>>They return to the Magic Circle Room.
>>- Some of the symbols are that of alchemy. Silva turns the book to Fane, and then Fane turns it to Elsie.

>>- The Circle is affiliated with the Church.

>>- Elsie breaks the wax seal on the book.

>>>It is the Litanies of Purity, expanded with notes.
>>>The circle is that of teleportation. The question is, why would the Church have such a magic circle here, especially since [Shickletown](Shickletown.md) is near the Pale City? The party has more questions than answers, and speculate that the mine was closed so the Church could have complete control. Alternatively, the importance of Crystals or if the [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) were somehow teleported to the mines.
>>- The party renders the magic circle useless by defiling it.

>>As the party begins to leave the mines...
>>- Simon believes "Silver Dust" can reduce exposure, but it is actually "[Silver Salt](Silver%20Salt.md)." However, he doesn't get far with this line of thinking.

>>- Fane tosses 6 Exposure at one of the [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) on the way out. The Trog becomes to vomit up blood and suddenly envelops itself into a cocoon. It is learned that [Troglodyes](Troglodyte.md) are actually sensitive to exposure and can easily mutate depending on their environment.

>>Arriving back in [[Shickletown]], the party returns to [[Tose No Arrows]] at the tavern. He suggests the party to lay low as the church recently visited the town, talked to the Elder, and searched the chapel. They also have an encampment two hours east of [[Shickletown]].

>>Discussing their next course of action, the party decides to set out for [[Mournhowl]] to try and get away from the Church. [[Mournhowl]] is also the best place to sell off their loot they found in the mines, as other places may raise questions or simply not have enough for proper compensation.

The [Changeling](Elder%20Shane.md) begins to spout out all sorts of information on the party, and during the interrogation, spots Simon peeking in through the window and ousts him. Simon begins to run and casts [[Longstrider]], fleeing from the scene and running past his party. Catching on, the entire party begins to run as the Church once again is in pursuit...

>>The party opts for [Stealth](Stealth.md) and treks through the wilderness. During the travel, they are beset by a blizzard and brave through it. Balrak and Simon suffers through the ordeal and they are forced to rest. Fane and Silva begins to catch a cold but easily shrug it off.
>>- Later, the party encounters a group of Yetis. They successfully make it pass them and their “Polar Bear Pets,” although some shenanigans with Balrak occur as some of them wanted to “adopt” him. Also, Booty.

>> On Day 10, they see the Crossroads up ahead. The party opts to wait for a glacier to cross the river, which conveniently arrives on Day 11. As the party approaches on the glacier, they notice the heraldry of the Prince of [[Mournhowl]] at [[Dead Man’s Flow]]. They get off the glacier, avoid the town, and continue their travel.

It is thought that if the Prince takes over, [Mytherian](Mytheria.md) Law will reign supreme in [Mournhowl](Mournhowl.md), erasing the culture and history of Mournhowl.

>>There are some Druidic Effigies planted outside of [[Dead Man’s Flow]], indicating some sort of sanctuary. The party investigates them, finding a Druid Circle that is stained with blood. Following the tracks leads the party to a Church encampment with Druidic prisoners. After some discussion, the party decides to intervene, but follows Mazekeen suggests watching a bit first before charging in.

>> As an aside, Fane has been studying the stone he obtained from the [[Corpse Crystal]]. It seems to be some form of storage of magic, and something may happen once it is completely filled. As the party traveled, Fane has been channeling energy into it.

>>Outside the encampment, the party prepares for a major encounter.
>>- The party tries to take out the two outside guards stealthily just like they did at the Bandit Camp, putting one to sleep while the other is rushed down. Both guards are taken down, with one becoming a bloody smear in the snow.

>>- Inside the cavern, the party finds an encampment full of guards, uncomfortable from the screaming they hear down one of the other passages. The party decides to [Stealth](Stealth.md) past the encampment, finding two more guards in the passage who are also uncomfortable. They find prisoners who are being tortured with acid by an Aspirant Knight of [[Mytheria]] named [[Chandice]].

>>- As the guards question the Aspirant and then return to their posts, the party tries to ambush the guards. They manage to take one down, but the other manages to raise the alarm. Battle is joined by the entire cavern, but that has to wait until next time on Bound and Broken!

>>After failing to take down a couple of guards the alarm is raised alerting the aspirant knight and everyone else in the cave. Round 1 Elsie Rowen turn Elsie immediately stealths and peeking around the corner she martials however she is unable to figure anything out {she lowers her head in shame} ending her turn.Round 1 Aspirant Knight Chandice turn The aspirant knight looks up at the shout of the guard the party failed to kill; he frowns as he realises that his work is being interrupted. // the aspirant knight immediately impales one of the druids with his sword throwing them on the ground and moves 25 feet towards the party and ends his turn
Round 1 Fane’s turn Begrungidly fane look over at simon he closes his eyes and whispers a few words under his breath and uses ag canagh giving simon 2 of his exposure after some brief thoughts of killing himself fane moves next to an actual furry {mazekeen} and uses his bonus action he proceeds to cry {a river of salty tears}
Round 1 An actual furry {mazekeen Blight } turn The injured mercenary yells HOLY SHIT as an actual furry {mazekeen} attempts to bite and rip him in half but he blocks all three {one of the swipes almost takes balraks {arm} off, she whimpers} and ends her turn. Round 1 J.J. silva J.j realising that a change in tactics is in order he places his crossbow on his back and pulls out his short sword and shield “hello there, may the light take you” he says walking next to the wounded mercenary and proceeds to stab him however the mercenary stands strong
Round 1 Simon Immediately simon goes into cover and shoots at mercenary 1 hitting him the arrow shatters dealing no damage to the mercenary Round 1 balrak Growling Balrak immediately bashes the wounded mercenaries head in sending him flying into the wall and moves 25 feet towards the aspirant knight
