Contrary to those early beliefs, he was not a Portal-born and eventually managed to reintegrate into society. He secured a job at a reputable bookstore in Scriven Port. While the work wasn’t particularly fulfilling, the pay was decent, and he remained there for several years. > >His life took a dramatic turn when he was approached by Babylon, who offered him great power and adventure. Babylon had sensed the hidden potential within Darion and saw a chance for him to not only serve but also gain significant abilities. Babylon's proposal was clear: "Promises, obligations, and guilt. The building blocks of society and the source of many powers." Darion’s new role centered around KAZAKALA, a town brimming with adventurers, built atop ancient elven spires and ruins. It quickly became apparent that adventurers were prone to deceit and broken promises. Darion skillfully navigated these challenges and even ultimately founded a small sect of dedicated followers of Babylon. > >After about a century of service across Majital, Babylon tasked Darion with a new mission on a distant continent where his influence is smaller. He spent years among various groups of Babylon cultists, predominantly fresh soldiers with little experience. Now, Darion is aligning himself with the western rebellion, not just to leverage their resources but to strategically advance Babylon's agenda. While this alliance may require him to perform tasks for the rebellion, it strategically positions him to fulfill Babylon’s directives. > ># Epilogue >After giving his wish to [Babylon](Babylon.md), Darien is granted a promotion and serve and serves as a traveling priest specifically to the north of Corvanis for all the people displaced by the war. This is his mission for the near future until Babylon should command him otherwise. > >His biggest goal is to achieve his childhood dream. Something that he thought was impossible until now, for he witnessed it happen. He wants to ascend and become [Eldar](Verum/Races/Elf/Eldar.md), the highest form of his race. To achieve this goal Darien would use future rewards and his magic to work towards this goal. He would have no issues using the fiendish or dark markets. > >On the side he would also seek to finish learning Taladonic, if he can find the resources to do so. This is a scientific goal as he assumes he will eventually need to read Taladonic to advance his Arcane knowledge further, but he's not rushing to do this. > >Darien would through all this keep track of [Kaito](Kaito%20Dion.md). When he learns about Kaitos death, he would go to collect the Taladonic ring and bind his soul to Babylons service, if needed. Hopefully [Anfa](Anfa%20Ní-Oighear.md) would have learned reincarnate by then, so Darien could induct Kaitos new body into his service instead. > >When/If Darien manages to ascend to eldar, his next personal goal would likely shift towards researching Taladonic. As he believe this is eventually the next step he needs to take in order to further his knowledge of magic. > >Darien will also, as the ring is given, infer Kaito's service to Babylon by the binding of his multiple marriages.
