On the way, Kuel explains what he had dispelled, which startled Kaphi to her core. [The Black Hand](The%20Black%20Hand.md) was behind the demonic power that had been distributed to others and his choice to dispel the Black Hand for good. Who knows what consequences it could lead to? Maybe they would be fine like Ku’el appeared to be. One can only hope. Repaying him through her cooking to help him and share the load of feeding his guests. >Looking to the old forge in the back of the inn, she would study the smiths at work, reflecting on her time in Corvanis. As she settled in, Kaphi kept her hands busy cleaning over her equipment. Working on her armor, a burst of ghastly, thorny stems bloomed from it. > >“I see, thank you [Viderick](Viderick.md). From what was broken, I will forge anew.” She says decisively; shedding the armor, praying for guidance to [Ezokhine](Ezokhine.md) on how she could build the new armor—drawing parallels from what she has seen over her life. Testing her theories, she makes her first craft: a simple leather bracelet with a buckle and a carefully engraved message: Forge Ever Forward. > >She presents her work to Holdan as a gift with breakfast, as a small show of her skill and thanks. She asks to learn from Holden and the local Blacksmith to collaborate on building something new by reverse-engineering her armor.As they work, Holden and Kaphi seem to work on the broken parts of their bond.
