His parents had been attempting to conceive a child for a long while, but to no avail. Unknown if it was due to his father’s impotence or his mother’s lack of fertility. However, after many attempts eventually his mother was finally able to get pregnant. His parents were elated, finally after many trials and tribulations they had been blessed with child. > >However, when he was born tragedy stuck his parents. For after he was delivered it became obvious that he was not a normal child. Mythos was born with a small pair of wings some sort of mutation of unknown origins. His parents devastated, but true devouts of the church, after a period of grieving took their child to the cathedral to be turned over to the church, expecting to never see their child again. > >A lengthy investigation ensued of the winged child and each of the parents. The investigation of his parents lead to the discovery of a mixed blood heritage in his mother. Something from generations before that even she was not aware of. It seemed as if part of that bloodline had mixed with the child but not fully. The child did not have any latent magic within him after being examined very thoroughly by members of the church, but the effect of the heritage were obvious as he still had his winged mutation. > >The church eventually came to an accord. The couple would be allowed to keep their child, as it did not seem like he had any latent magical presence inside of him despite this strange mutation he had. However, the couple would have to maintain a proper Mytherian education for the boy and to agree to be monitored by knights of the church at all times. This was to ensure that proper teachings and guidance were provided to the child and to maintain some sanctity of control in this unnatural situation to make sure nothing abnormal happened with the child without the church’s knowledge. The parents agreed to these terms happily as to comply with the church was their intent the entire time but also due to not wanting to lose their child. > >Mythos was raised in a very structured environment. He was taught the ways of Mytheria’s light, and an extreme amount of importance was stressed about the evils of unsanctioned magics. His parents were not overly strict with him but were very intent on making sure he had the proper teachings in these regards as they did not want him ending up tainted by the callings of magics as they were unsure if it would have abnormal effects on him. However, his parents never did tell him about why he was born the way he was, as they did not want to worry him about the bloodline that existed inside of him. > >Mythos grew up as a proper church boy. Focused on learning the teachings of Mytheria and being abstinent of any magics. He trained both his body and mind daily. His body trained to be a somewhat competent fighter, and his mind trained because to properly defeat thy enemy one must first know thy enemy. Due to never being told about his heritage though, as Mythos grew older, he started to have a realization of his own. Noticing that no others of the church had the same wings that he had, he took that to mean that he had been truly blessed Mytheria herself. > >This realization made him an even stronger devout of Mytheria’s teachings. His focus on his studies increased and his love and belief of Mytheira increased as well. He became enamored with his goddess, believing that his calling was to enact her will to help protect the continent. This infatuation continued to grow into his teenage and young adult years, up until the point that he personally declares himself as Mytheria’s suitor. Believing that his love for his goddess would be reciprocated once his mission on the mortal plane had been completed. > >Certain members of the church found his actions a bit pompous, but as he had been a well-versed boy in the teachings of the church and never actually caused any problems in church sanctioned grounds this was mostly overlooked. Eventually as he took his station as a member of the church and was delegated to one of the 3 factions (Mechanically will take any) he took his station and acted in the best interest of the church. However, Mythos presents himself as a member of “The Heart of Mytheria” a station he self-proclaims he is of, due to his “greater understanding of Mytheria’s teachings” and his own infatuation with the goddess. > >As he completed his tasks that were set forth by the church and was able to prove himself as a member of the church he was eventually delegated to move to a new squad of acolytes. He gladly accepted this chance and will soon meet his new party members that will aid him in the spreading of Mytheria’s light across the continent that is in desperate need of her blessings. > >[!info|clean center no-i no-t wmed] - >### Holy Day Prayers > >>_On this holy of days, we pray for those lost and pray for those that continue to spread your holy light_ >>_With your light in our hearts we shall carry forth and spread your love to all those willing to accept it_ >>_May your light and love continue to guide the lost and protect the innocent as we make the continent a better place for all._ > >>_Thank you my love once again for protecting me in my endeavors to correct the blight that is wrought over the continent_ >>_By your loving light I will continue to move forward, to spread your light to the areas shrouded in darkness_ >>_To bring your love to those who need it, and to bring your love to those that would try to deny it_ >>_Whether it be with an open palm or a heavy fist. For this second chance i shall not fail you_ >> _This apostate shall be culled and we shall begin the push to bring your light back to these desecrated lands_ >> _Material supplies may have been lost, but your light continues to flow through me._ >> _And with your strength i shall be the lion that crushes all those who would oppose you_ > ># Epilogue >Mythos will carry out his Duty to go to Noda to discuss Peace talks with those present. > >If he reconnects with his former friends [Micha'el Grace](Micha'el%20Grace.md) and [Thorne](Thorne%20Saltspire.md), then he would take the time to Apologize to Michael for not informing the others of his intent and for not standing up for him when things went wrong. > >He would Also thank Thorne for having the strength in her heart to make the hardest decision for the party, and for making it back alive as well. > >After the demonic threat is taken care of at the wall, and Peace can finally come to Corvanis. Mythos will confess his true feelings to Mytheria >He will state that his followings and beliefs did not necessarily align with the church itself but went deeper than just the teachings they offered. >He would state that though the thoughts in his head may have been idealized, that in his heart he knew what was true. That through the church’s teachings and the dogmas they presented, that the thing he truly followed was the light she offered, the core of the subtle beliefs that the church could never truly do away with when trying to teach of her ways. The wisdom to guide her peoples to a better place, The resolve to protect the innocent and weak, and the strength of her resolve to be able to fight for the people and things she cared about even when it came time to make hard decisions. >He would confess that through his journeys, there were times when his love for her, his goddess, did waver. But would clarify that it was not due to the things he learned about her along the way. But that it was due to his own shortcomings and not feeling as though he deserved to love her. >He would tell her that he is one of the few who were there to endure the weight of her guilt, one of the few that witnessed and even felt the pain and the suffering she has endured. He would tell her that he does not resent her, that he understands what she had to go through and accepts her for what she had to do and that he forgives her. Cause he personally knows that it was not a decision that she wanted to make, that it was one she had to make because she truly believed it was the only way (which he knows from his History Master Questions he asked for from Traitors Hill). Then he will reassure her that even if the rest of the world resents her for what she did, that he will always stand by her side. >He would then tell Mytheria that he Loves her. That the love in his heart for her was what kept him going through his sheltered upbringing. Its what got him through as things on the continent started to worsen. Its what gave him the resolve to push forward, even when it didn’t seem like he was able to do much, and when he had failed to do the things he wanted to do to try and make things better. He would also tell her that he would like to spend some time to get to know the real Mytheria, the woman standing before him. Not the goddess, not the traitor, but her herself. >Depending on Mytheria's response to his confession and also depending on weather or not she keeps her divinity or not. >Due to the actions and due to the developments across Corvanis eventually Mytheria will give up her divinity and will seek to live a simple life of simple pleasures. And as Mythos has made himself available and that his feelings for her are true she will eventually accept. And so they will seek to live a life together but not as a goddess and a servant but as two mortals in a simple life > >As time passes and Gideon establishes his college of knowledge, Mythos will become a frequent visitor. He'd spend his free time there. He'd learn more about gods and cultures and the differences therein in order to maintain as much peace as possible. He would also suggest that maybe the college should be built in Saphira as well so that knowledge could be shared.
