His father and mother are both now retired yet still fervent servants of the goddess [Mytheria](Mytheria.md), Lady of Light. > >Telry and his two siblings were raised to be active servants in the Church, and he eventually began the path of the Initiate, aiming to join the Sword as a [Paladin](Paladin.md) of [[Mytheria]] like his father before him. > >His first long range mission soon had Telry accompanying a knight and several other Initiates to [The Razor Cliffs](The%20Razor%20Cliffs.md). As the captain of the party lead them in ruthlessly purging some captured apostates by the flame near the Wayward Tower _(an event which marked Telry and sparked the embers of mistrust in the Church’s judgement)_, the group was ambushed and overwhelmed by the Haze creatures in the area. Telry was gravely wounded, but awoke later in a simple house on the outskirts of [[Edgington]].
