# J<Small>ASHA</small>
**Jhasa** is a handmaiden to the [Astral Traveler](Astral%20Traveler.md). Jhasa represents hardship and struggle, and the triumph over said struggle. Planets within her [nebula](Jhasa%20Nebula.md) are often difficult to live upon, but the denizens are made the stronger for it.[^1](https://youtu.be/Cw8WMfaviWo?t=10711)
# Description
Jhasa is selectively mute when she appeared in the Material Plane, because if she utter a single word, it can output such power that it would destroy the surrounding area.[^2](https://youtu.be/w9cIy5seg58?si=5MvglRb5suD698Hp)

# History
### Battle Against the Enemy
In the final battle against the [Enemy](Enemy.md/), the [Astral Traveler](Astral%20Traveler.md) and her handmaidens (including Jhasa) appeared in the [Astral Sea](Astral%20Sea.md) above [Verum](Verum.md) to aid in its defense.[^3](https://youtu.be/rvGgEzGU_xo?t=19002)
### Gaining Brewbad as a Follower
The dwarf [Brewbad](Brewbad%20Stormfinger.md/) unintentionally became connected to Jhasa after being exposed to [Dust](Dust.md/) while holding "The Lorekeeper’s Scepter" which belonged to a dwarf that was one of the [The Seven](The%20Seven.md)][^4](https://youtu.be/EhCdIJTTyJQ?si=BujA3gNlksE-vbdL). Later while in the [Fable of Not'Chek](Fable%20of%20Not'Chek.md/), Brewbad attempts to commune with his former patron [Regalia, The Herald](Scribe%20Corner/Personal%20Folders/Frosty's%20Igloo/Regalia,%20The%20Herald.md/) but instead Jhasa answers his call due to their new connection. She smiles but does not speak, because all of her words carry immense power. Jhasa touches Brewbad’s forehead, and he learns the story of this Handmaiden and all that she resides over. Brewbad gives blank parchments to Jhasa, so she can converse through writing.
She then explains that to escape the Fable, they must finish its story. Brewbad asks if that will also release the [Eyeless Ones](Verum/Races/Non-Playable%20Races/Eyeless%20Ones.md) in the Fable. Concern washes over Jhasa's face, and she asks why Brewbad knows of them. He points to the crystals, and she immediately investigates them. She then assures the party that all the Eyeless Ones in this Fable are only memories, but she can sense the energy of one nearby. Jhasa warns the party that the Eyeless Ones are a hungerless hivemind that should be stopped at all costs, or the planet will be destroyed. [Schmeg](Schmeg.md/) then asks if they should worry about one of them absorbing an Eyeless One earlier. When Brewbad explains the situation, Jhasa levitates [Anaalius ](Anaalius%20Penetratius.md/) and [Mataal ](Mataal%20Ika.md/) towards her. Anaalius seems to be fine, but as Jhasa looks at Mataal, her face is filled with fear and sadness.
A harrowing green light starts glowing on the tip of her fingers. As the party sees this, they rush in to protect Mataal. The Handmaiden then puts her hand down and first explains that Mataal is infected with the Eyeless Ones; he must be destroyed. Brewbad interjects, revealing to her that the Eyeless Ones have also infected other creatures in the Mist. Jhasa meditates on it for a few minutes before standing up and pointing to Mataal, telling him:
“Mortal man, your life is no longer your own. Seek those without the sight. The eyeless creatures in the night. Claim them, destroy them, and with each piece, restore them to the balance of this world. Do this and the [Astral Traveler](Astral%20Traveler.md) will see you forgiven.”
As Jhasa finishes her edict, a binding contract is formed. Mataal Ika must destroy all the Eyeless Ones on Glies so that he can be rectified. Jhasa then points at Brewbad’s chest and takes her leave.
A month following their escape from the Fable, [Brewbad Stormfinger](Brewbad%20Stormfinger.md/) communes with her trying to find a safe location to raise the [Divine Emperor](The%20Divine%20Emperor.md/) causing her to inform him that the [Mists of Glies](Mists%20of%20Glies.md/) have become dangerous again.[^5](https://youtu.be/tXa4lMPWTJI?si=In0Fc37qUgeqj2HK)
