Omen is a [Deity](Deities.md) of blood, death, and pain from the [Jhasa Nebula](Jhasa%20Nebula.md).
# Description
An otherworldly red moon and powerful deity of blood, death, and pain. It is not a kalkateshian deity, instead located in the [Jhasa Nebula](Jhasa%20Nebula.md). It seeks to cause destruction on the planet of [Ori](Ori.md) and make it its own. The order of the butterfly sealed it away but with a new servant it lies in wait to return.[^1](https://youtu.be/_9aUY-0ca7M?feature=shared)

# History
## [Shadow of Tyre](Shadow%20of%20Tyre.md/)
After touching one of the tapestries in the [The Labyrinth](The%20Labyrinth.md), Raost finds himself in a dark place and is confronted by a massive red moon that calls itself Omen. Omen offers Raost power, but in exchange Raost must take a piece of Omen to [Verum](Verum.md). Raost accepts his deal and is transformed into an Ori [[Akuma]] and made a servant of Omen.[^2](https://youtu.be/_9aUY-0ca7M?feature=shared)
Raost later makes more deals with Omen to increase his power. Omen grants Raost a red orb in exchange for his [Wondox](Wondox.md) sword. Omen\'s servant explains that he must use this *Orb of Omen* to harvest souls. In exchange he will be granted a weapon of Omen.[^3](https://youtu.be/CmWcfjcyvT8?feature=shared)
While on an excursion to the [Red Star](Red%20Star.md), Raost speaks with Omen. The blood god tells him that there are a lot of souls in this star and Roast asks him for the ability to see it. Omen obliges and Roast eyes are painfully branded with the symbol of Omen. Roast thus gains the ability to see souls. While Raost is pleased with the power Omen has given him, he is scared of the way that Omen is changing and influencing him. He confesses to his party what happened to him when he touched the tapestry and that Omen tricked him into becoming an Akuma.[^4](https://youtu.be/91SDydrjue0?feature=shared)
After Raost loses [Seren Tredder](Seren%20Tredder.md/) to the [[Violet]], he demands an audience with Omen. The blood god answers and Raost delivers a speech about the dichotomy of being a monster; how one expects them to only be evil, but the heart within them grants them the ability to be more than monsters. Raost tries to use the power of the Gambler's Delight to persuade Omen to become good and help them against the Violet, but Omen laughs maniacally. He tells Raost that a monster\'s only purpose is to destroy and enact its will upon others; the little [[yokai]] can go and save the world, but in the end, he'll still have to answer to him.[^5](https://youtu.be/gcKAZblfwNQ?feature=shared)
