The southern tip of Steton is known to be an untamed wilderness, even to the wild peoples of Steton. The Floating Peaks located there, are home to the more nomadic clans of Steton. The monsters that can be found in the continent are Manticores[^2](https://www.worldanvil.com/w/verum-arcadum/a/manticore-hunter-article), Bulettes[^3](https://www.worldanvil.com/w/verum-arcadum/a/bulette-slayer-article), Rocs[^4](https://www.worldanvil.com/w/verum-arcadum/a/roc-tracker-article), Chimeras[^5](https://www.worldanvil.com/w/verum-arcadum/a/chimera-hunter-article), and even Dragons.[^6](https://www.worldanvil.com/w/verum-arcadum/a/dragonslayer-article) ## Demographics Giants are a commonplace occurrence in Steton, in fact many of them are citizens. However, most giants are not and are hunted for their skin and the large hoards they tend to collect. Most are fought by the few Stetonians that wish to test themselves against the might of such cunning and organized creatures. Such economic gains and combat advantages gained are without equal in Steton. Hide Flayer is a title given to those that commit themselves to the art and craft so fully, that they may be mistaken for the insane.[^8](https://www.worldanvil.com/w/verum-arcadum/a/hide-flayer-article) ### History Steton is a nation whose history has been bathed in turmoil and civil war. However, over the last hundred years or so, the current bloodline of kings that sit upon the Throne of Giants, has ruled successfully and fairly. The Highfall bloodline has led to the prosperity of the wild lands of Steton and the citizens that live therein. Stetonians are a hardy people, whose main occupation is hunting and gathering from the monsters that cover the land. As, such Steton is home to some of the best monster hunters and warrior Verum have ever seen.
