She wears her emotions on her sleeve, yet wears a mask which hides a soft complexion. > >***Born Vulnerable*** >When Seren was born, some may say that she was smaller than average but with it came constant illness through out her childhood. Seren\'s family did not give up on the small satyr and she grew stronger in constitution and moral. > >***Better Life.*** >When the path to the Fey Wild was still open, Seren and her parents passed through in hopes of a better life. They settled along the [[Spine of Crovux](Spine_of_Crovux "wikilink") in [Krazax](Krazax.md), living as farmers. Sadly due to Seren's composition, she could never play with other children. > >***Tragedy Struck.*** >On a snowy day she prayed to her future god, [Talven](Deities/Green%20Pantheon/Talven.md), asking for one day outside without fear of sickness. Talven taking pity on the small Satyr granted her one wish, letting her enjoy herself. Soon after due to a movement of the Linnorm, [Crovux](Crovux "wikilink"), an avalanche started killing her parents in the process. > >***Family Honor.*** >Left to her own devices Seren became a druid, like her mother before her, as a way to remember and honor her family. Seren does not particularly enjoy her duties or abilities as a druid but feels it is all she knows. Their relationship is awkward at first but their love grows stronger. Their love might be the only thing holding them together as they lose their humanity to the labyrinth. Seren and Raost eventually get married at Camp Last Stand, but Seren tragically suffers [Violet Death](Violet_Death "wikilink") to save her party from [Fleshcrime Omega](Fleshcrime%20Omega.md). Raost is grief-stricken and promises to get her back any way he can. > >***[Depthar Infection](Depthar.md)*** >During the Trials of Tyre, Seren and her party explore the [Depthar](Depthar.md) infested [Heart wing of Tyre's labyrinth](Heart%20of%20Tyre.md). There she comes across the [Fleshcrime Omega](Fleshcrime%20Omega.md), a Fleshcrime created by [Tyre](Tyre.md) out of a man who was a druid and one of the [Seven](The%20Seven.md). After listening to the Fleshcrime Omega speak Druidic, Seren becomes infected with the Depthar infection. This gives her access to Psionic abilities and a connection to the [Brass King](Depthar "wikilink"), a Depthar Overmind. During her time in the Labyrinth, her body mutates and contorts over time, especially if her infection levels increased. One of the mutations she gains is a long tongue that has barbs that can infect people.[^1](https://youtu.be/n8jJmIQZIAs?feature=shared) > >The Brass King\'s influence over Seren\'s mind causes her to occasionally experience the Depthar hunger. This results in her attacking the people around her by invading their mind through her psionic abilities, or by using her tongue to infect them. To protect her friends she contemplates cutting off her tongue but decides to wear a muzzle instead.[^2](https://youtu.be/LjmkFQy7zvI?feature=shared) > >Over the course of Seren\'s adventures in the labyrinth her infection continues to grow as she uses her psionic abilities. She eventually gives in to her Depthar side and two duplicates of her upper body emerge from her chest and her back. Including her original torso, each one embodies one of three emotions: happy, angry, and sad. But Seren now has a psionic hunger that must be fed to avoid going berserk.[^12](https://youtu.be/yzT-Vr6iNTg?feature=shared) > >As the Depthar are wiped from [Azengolt](Azengolt.md) by [Hizigori](Hizigori "wikilink"), Seren undergoes a metamorphosis; the three Depthar Overminds attempt to embed themselves in her mind as the Depthar on Azengolt are being wiped out. Seren's survival aspect, her strongest, forgoes sealing herself which would prevent the Depthar from spreading at the cost of her life. She crumples to the ground and turns into a fleshy mass. The Green Pantheon rejects her as she turns full Depthar. The Overminds try to embed themselves into Seren's mind, but the Brass King comes out victorious. She becomes a full Depthar and is dubbed The Brass Queen. Her form shifts to one of an [Eldar](Verum/Races/Elf/Eldar.md), and she is given a new surname: *Ethune*.[^13](https://youtu.be/YVjGQrZLPTM?feature=shared) > >The Azengoltians who arrive at Camp Last Stand discover that Seren is an Overmind and ready themselves to eliminate her. Luckily the others at camp defend her and are able to de-escalate the situation. Seren says that this allows her to detect and find other Depthar, and possibly the other Overminds. They deliberate her use and end the conflict. An Azengoltian Eldar seer who arrived with Letol walks up to Seren and says there is still a chance for her, as the infection is incomplete.[^14](https://youtu.be/BB3_Zv04r-E?feature=shared) > >In a gamble to defend her party from from the Fleshcrime Omega, Seren sacrifices herself and suffers [Violet Death](Violet_Death "wikilink"). With so many souls taken, perhaps it can return at least this one.
