The marked target’s movements become physically and temporally tracked by an imperceptible tether. After the end of your next turn, you can use your reaction during any turn other than your own to activate the tether. The marked target must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, a Void Rift appears at the location the target ended their previous turn on, teleporting the target to the rift as their essence is ripped through space and time.  > >If the marked teleportation position is blocked by a solid entity or is otherwise inaccessible, the subject does not teleport and instead takes 2d8 force damage as the unapplied magic essence scatters.  > >If that marked target passes its Charisma saving throw, the unstable magic instead sucks you in as the target, teleporting you to the Void Rift in the manner described above. Note: the Void Rift still refers to the target’s previous location, not yours.
