# Vowbreaker (Level 1)
Keywords - *[Magic](Magic.md)*, *[Augment](Augment.md)*, *[Oath](Oath.md)*
The Agnostic cannot use the [Channel](Channel.md) Core Action.
The Agnostic can use their [Doubt](Doubt.md) instead of [Mana](Mana.md) for all of their abilities and spellcasting.
The Agnostic gains a point of [Doubt](Doubt.md) whenever an enemy would fail a saving throw against a spell cast by the Agnostic. This can allow the Agnostic to go above their maximum [Doubt](Doubt.md). Any extra [Doubt](Doubt.md) fades at the end of the turn in which it was gained. This only occurs once per source.
If the target that failed was a character with a Vow ability, the amount of [Doubt](Doubt.md) gained is instead equal to the Agnostic's [Willpower](Willpower.md), [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md), or [Grace](Grace.md).
The Agnostic **must** choose this ability as one of its starting abilities. The Agnostic cannot choose a Vow ability from the other Faith classes.
