# Mercenary
### [Doubt](Doubt.md)
Characters from Corvanis gain a resource pool called Doubt. This resource represents the history of Corvanis overcoming the grip of deities and the evolution of the self. Characters from Corvanis can tap into this resource to do the following.
Gain [resistance](Resistance.md) to a spell cast by a Faith class.
Remove I Tier of [Concealed](Concealed.md)/[Invisible](Invisible.md) from all enemies within 30ft.
Ignore [afflictions](Affliction.md) that change MP cost for 1 round.
The maximum amount of Doubt a character has is equal to the number of character paths they possess. This resource pool is refreshed whenever the character finishes a comfortable long rest.
### [Field Alchemist](Field%20Alchemist.md) <small>(Level 1)</small>

As long as the Mercenary is [Supplied](Supplied.md), they may start each day with a number of potions equal to their [Competence](Competence.md), [Tenacity](Tenacity.md), or [Resilience](Resilience.md). These potions must be from the list of potion recipes listed in their alchemist kit.
### [Medium Armor Specialist](Medium%20Armor%20Specialist.md) <small>(Level 1)</small>
This character gains an [Armor Augment](Armor%20Augment.md) to a qualifying armor they are proficient with. It gains an additional [augment](Armor%20Augment.md) at levels 3, 6, and 9.
### [Kit Specialist](Kit%20Specialist.md) <small>(Level 1)</small>
This character chooses a kit they have proficiency in, they gain the advanced augment of that kit.
### [Combat Alchemist](Combat%20Alchemist.md) <small>(Level 2)</small>

The Mercenary can spend [Doubt](Doubt.md) instead of the [APC](Action%20Point%20Cost.md) of potions. If they do, they increase the tier of the [Alkalized](Prism%20(Testing)/Keywords/Imbuements/Mundane/Alkalized.md) effect of the potion by an amount equal to their [Competence](Competence.md), [Tenacity](Tenacity.md), or [Resilience](Resilience.md).
### [Alchemical Edge](Alchemical%20Edge.md) <small>(Level 4)</small>

Whenever the Mercenary would make a melee weapon attack, if that weapon is [Alkalized](Prism%20(Testing)/Keywords/Imbuements/Mundane/Alkalized.md), the Mercenary increases the number of charges that effect has on the weapon before it fades equal to their [Competence](Competence.md), [Tenacity](Tenacity.md), or [Resilience](Resilience.md).
Whenever the Mercenary would [Alkalize](Prism%20(Testing)/Keywords/Imbuements/Mundane/Alkalized.md) ammunition, they may [Alkalize](Prism%20(Testing)/Keywords/Imbuements/Mundane/Alkalized.md) an additional number of ammunition equal to their [Spirit](Spirit.md).

The Mercenary has [resistance](Resistance.md) to [afflictions](Affliction.md) caused by Faith sources if the tier of the [affliction](Affliction.md) is equal to or less than the tier of [Alkalized](Prism%20(Testing)/Keywords/Imbuements/Mundane/Alkalized.md) the mercenary currently is affected by.
If the Mercenary has [resistance](Resistance.md) from using [Doubt](Doubt.md) against an [affliction](Affliction.md), they gain [immunity](Immunity.md) instead against that application of that [affliction](Affliction.md).

Whenever the Mercenary would spend an action point to use a consumable, they gain 1 [Courage](Courage.md).

Whenever the Mercenary would use the [[Potion Cache]] camp action, they increase the tier of [Alkalized](Prism%20(Testing)/Keywords/Imbuements/Mundane/Alkalized.md) of all of those potions by an amount equal to their [Competence](Competence.md), [Tenacity](Tenacity.md), or [Resilience](Resilience.md).
