These Chords are pieces of discordant melodies and distant notes of the Song of Creation that follow them. Characters from Ryne can tap into this resource pool to do the following. Perform a Song they know. Increase the Tier of [Inspired](Inspired.md) they incur or imbue by I. They may reroll a failed social skill check. The maximum amount of Chords a character has is equal to the number of character paths they possess. While the Herald is [Inspired](Inspired.md), they can spend a [Chord](Chords.md) to increase the damage of the next weapon damage roll by an amount equal to their [Spirit](Spirit.md). ### [Shining Banner](Shining%20Banner.md) <small>(Level 4)</small> Keywords - *[Mundane](Mundane.md)*, *[Supernatural](Supernatural.md)*, *[Empower](Empower.md)* APC - 3 Additional Cost - 1 [Chord](Chords.md) Target - Self Range - Self The Herald may use the power of their [Chords](Chords.md) to summon a phantasmal banner that fights alongside them. The Herald is considered to be wielding this banner even though they are using their hands on other equipment. This banner imbues the Herald with Tier IV [Bestowed](Bestowed.md). This aura grants the Herald and their allies [Resistance](Resistance.md) on saving throws and contested checks vs. [Frightened](Frightened.md)/ [Horror](Horror.md), [Blind](Blind.md)/[Sightless](Sightless.md), and [Cowardice](Cowardice.md). In addition, whenever a creature affected by this aura would succeed on one of these rolls they are healed for an amount of hit points equal to the Herald's [Presence](Presence.md), [Grace](Grace.md), or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md). This Aura lasts for as long as the Herald is [Inspired](Inspired.md). ### [Chord of War](Chord%20of%20War.md) <small>(Level 5)</small> Keywords - *[Mundane](Mundane.md)*, *[Supernatural](Supernatural.md)*, *[Empower](Empower.md)* Whenever an enemy is defeated while the Herald is [Inspired](Inspired.md), if the Herald attacked that creature this combat, they gain [Courage](Courage.md) equal to their [Presence](Presence.md), [Grace](Grace.md), or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md). ### [Crimson Allegro](Crimson%20Allegro.md) <small>(Level 7)</small> Keywords - *[Mundane](Mundane.md)*, *[Supernatural](Supernatural.md)*, *[Empower](Empower.md)*, *[Imbue](Imbue.md)* Additional Cost - 1 [Chord](Chords.md) Target - Ally Range - 30ft Allies in range are imbued with Tier III [Keen](Keen.md) and have the [Courageous](Courageous.md) critical effect. This lasts for 1 round. ### [Rouse the Troops](Rouse%20the%20Troops.md) <small>(Level 8)</small> Keywords - *[Mundane](Mundane.md)*, *[Strategy](Strategy.md)* The Herald has the capacity to enact a rousing speech to foster the courage of their allies. During a rest, the Herald performs this speech and grants their allies [Courage](Courage.md) equal to twice their [Presence](Presence.md), [Grace](Grace.md), or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md) at the start of the next combat within 24 hours. ### [Herald of War](Herald%20of%20War.md) <small>(Level 10)</small> Keywords - *[Mundane](Mundane.md)*, *[Supernatural](Supernatural.md)*, *[Empower](Empower.md)*, *[Imbue](Imbue.md)* Targets you imbue with [Inspired](Inspired.md) now also incur the [Aided](Aided.md) and [Reinforced](Reinforced.md) imbuements, the Tiers of which are equal to your [Presence](Presence.md), [Grace](Grace.md), or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md). In addition, whenever the Herald would spend a [Chord](Chords.md), the [Clarion Call](Clarion%20Call.md) class feature is activated. This does not occur if the Chord was spent on the [Clarion Call](Clarion%20Call.md) class feature.
