### [Alchemist](Alchemist%20(Combat%20Medic).md) <small>(Level 1)</small>
The Combat Medic gains the use of Alchemical Formulae and may create alchemical consumables. The Combat Medic starts with a number of Alchemical formulae equal to the their [Authority](Authority.md), [Wit](Wit.md) or [Willpower](Willpower.md). The Combat Medic may learn other Alchemical formulae as they continue their career.

The Combat Medic can use their Healer’s kit or a potion as a part of their attack with a non-heavy weapon. An item used this way has its APC reduced by an amount equal to the APC of the weapons attack. The Combat Medic may add their weapon’s damage to the healing these sources would heal.

Whenever the Combat Medic would heal an ally while that ally is [Wounded](Wounded.md)/[Shattered](Shattered.md), the healing is increased by an amount equal to the Combat Medic’s [Spirit](Spirit.md). If a wounded ally is attacked while the Combat Medic is adjacent to them, they receive THP equal to the Combat Medic’s [Authority](Authority.md), [Wit](Wit.md), or [Willpower](Willpower.md).

This ability functions as the [Guard](Guard.md) class feature, except when the Combat Medic deals damage to the attacker, the amount of damage that attacker does is reduced by an amount equal to the weapon damage rolled by the Combat Medic. If the Combat Medic already has the [Guard](Guard.md) class feature, the [Reinforced](Reinforced.md) imbuement has its tier increased to the Combat Medic’s [Authority](Authority.md), [Wit](Wit.md) or [Willpower](Willpower.md) instead.

The Combat Medic can use a Healer's kit or a healing potion to remove the worst injury that an ally is suffering from. A creature can only benefit from this ability once per combat. Whenever an ally is affected by this ability, they are also healed an amount equal to the result of a medicine check the Combat Medic makes when this ability is used.
