# Elemental (Burning)

### Tier I
**Afflicted** takes fire damage to [Life](Life.md) at the start of its turn equal to the current Tier of this **affliction**.
### Tier II
**Afflicted** deals fire damage to creatures adjacent to it whenever it takes damage from the Tier I of this effect of this **affliction**.
### Tier III
Whenever **afflicted** would take fire damage from a separate source of fire damage, the **afflicted** causes adjacent creatures to **incur** Tier I Elemental (Burning).
### Tier IV
**Afflicted** loses [resistance](Resistance.md) to fire damage. It cannot gain [resistance](Resistance.md) to fire damage while it has this tier of this **affliction**.
### Tier V
**Afflicted** **incurs** a penalty to [Healing](Heal.md) of [Life](Life.md) equal to the tier of this **affliction**.
### Tier VI
**Afflicted** loses [Immunity](Immunity.md) to fire damage. It cannot gain [Immunity](Immunity.md) to fire damage while it has this tier of this **affliction**.
### Tier VII
Whenever the **afflicted** would die, it explodes, all creatures within 15ft **incur** a Tier III Elemental (Burning) **affliction**.
### Notable Rules
Elemental (Burning) is stackable in that whenever a creature is afflicted with a tier of Elemental (Burning), it only increases by 1 tier and only if the new source of the affliction is equal to or greater then the current Elemental (Burning) they are suffering from.
Fading works in that, each round in which the afflicted is not affected by a renewing Elemental (Burning) affliction, they lose 1 tier of this Elemental (Burning) affliction.
