# Bolt <small>(1st)</small>

Resolve - Opposed
Duration - Instantaneous
The caster chooses an enemy, that enemy is assaulted with a bolt of force, forcing an opposed roll between the caster and the target. The caster may use their [[Initiative]], [[Wit]], [[Grace]] or [[Authority]]. The target may use their [[Stamina]], [[Tenacity]], [[Willpower]] or [[Resilience]]. Should the caster succeed, they deal 1d6 points of force damage. Should they win by 5 or more, they deal 2d6 damage instead.
Spell Ascension – Each time this spell is ascended, it strikes the target an additional time for each level it is ascended.

### <font color="#5218fa">**Indigo**</font>

Color Effect – The spell now gains an upkeep cost of 5 hit points. Its effect occurs again at the end of each round after the first for as long as the spell is upkept.
### <font color="#0000ff">**Blue**</font>
Keywords – [[Energy]], [[Harm]]
Color Effect – The square the target was in is marked by this spell. The next time the caster would cast this spell again, that square is also affected by this spell again, affecting any creature within that square. A maximum number of these squares can be marked this way equal to 1 plus each level of the spell.
### <font color="#008000">**Green**</font>
Keywords – [[Energy]], [[Empower]], [[Imbue]], [[Harm]]
Color Effect – This spell can now target allies. If an ally is selected, they are not dealt damage. Instead they are imbued with [Haste](Haste.md), the tier of which is equal to the the level of the spell. The next attack that ally makes heals them an amount equal to twice the level of the spell.
### <font color="#ffff00">**Yellow**</font>
Keywords – [[Energy]], [[Empower]], [[Dash]], [[Economy]], [[Harm]]
Color Effect – This spell, when cast, allows the caster to move without [APC](Action%20Point%20Cost.md). If the spell defeats an enemy, this movement is doubled.
### <font color="#ffa500">**Orange**</font>
Keywords – [[Energy]], [[Harm]], [[Overwhelm]]
Color Effect – This spell has [[Overwhelm]] to an enemy that is damaged by it if the caster is [Bloodied](Bloodied.md).
### <font color="#ff0000">**Red**</font>
Keywords – [[Energy]], [[Harm]], [[Imbue]]
Color Effect – This spell imbues allies that are adjacent to the enemy this spell successfully damages. They are imbued with [[Prism (Testing)/Glossary/Keywords/Imbuements/Magic/Heroism]], the tier of which is equal to the level of the spell.
### <font color="#ee82ee">**Violet**</font>
Keywords – [[Energy]], [[Harm]], [[Empower]]
Color Effect – Whenever the rolls made on the opposed check would either match on die result or total result, the caster is considered to have won and the spell is cast again on another creature within range. The extra casts of this spell do not have an APC or MPC. This can only occur once per opposed check, per creature, per round.
