The spellcaster target with this ability must make an opposed attribute test against the Dogmatist. The Dogmatist uses their [Authority](Authority.md), [Cunning](Cunning.md) or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md). The enemy uses their [Authority](Authority.md), [Cunning](Cunning.md) or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md). If the Dogmatist wins, the spell and its effects are negated and the caster is refunded their mana spent. The APC of this ability is equal to the spells APC reduced by an amount equal to the Dogmatist’s [Authority](Authority.md), [Cunning](Cunning.md) or [Sovereignty](Sovereignty.md). The MPC of this ability is equal to the spell’s MPC.
