Whenever the Detective would succeed on a saving throw or an opposed attribute check, they gain a bonus on their next saving throw or attribute check equal to their [Competence](Competence.md), [Initiative](Initiative.md) or [Cunning](Cunning.md). If this is the second consecutive success, they gain a bonus equal t their [Competence](Competence.md), [Initiative](Initiative.md) or [Cunning](Cunning.md) on the next saving throw or opposed attribute check instead. These bonuses reset after the third attempt.
