As the embodiment of oblivion, it controls the [[Violet]] through its servant, [The Herald of the Enemy](The%20Herald%20of%20the%20Enemy.md). It is said that it is so powerful that simply speaking its name would immediately end all of existence. As such, it is opposed by the [Seven](The%20Seven.md), who rise up to defeat it. ### Transcripts From *[Strange Roads](Strange%20Roads.md/)* Session 7[^1](https://youtu.be/VHrKEMv4MMI?si=QHEz18f_QFr2q0iK): > The Enemy is a being that grows in its strength the more who know of it. (\...) Each undulation of the movements of the Enemy, its subtle touch corrupting, destroying, but not as a demon, no, there are many that mistake evil to be somehow to be separate from good. Or law to be separate from chaos. Every being seeks to live. Every being has desires and hopes and wants and dreams. No matter how twisted they may be. But the Enemy does not. The Enemy is oblivion. It is end. It is the nothing. And it is filled with a potent and untellable will. The tapestry itself is a paramount representation of this, tattered and frayed. If you looked to the edges you will see it; the entropic terrible emptiness. From *[Heart of Tyre](Heart%20of%20Tyre.md/)* Session 1[^2](https://youtu.be/pODto9SrfD0?si=EoAdXoXJX4GsTgVG): > The Violet and This One are the same. One controls Oneself. > > One gained the Violet by the shattering of a covenant. From *[[The Seven Secrets]]*: > You know of the Herald, but whom does the Herald serve? For the great threat that looms within the sky is not the being that the Seven fought all those years ago, it is instead merely a promise, a promise of something greater, of the true enemy that walks in shadow and in forgotten, shattered memories, but the fragments return, the pieces fall into place, and bit by bit, the great cosmic web ravels to a singular point, for when the Herald reaches Kalkatesh, and its violet light shines like a second sun, that is when you will see it. That is when the fate of all will be decided once more.
